Composite Technician Assembler

Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products. Lays out articles and cuts parts or materials to size. Applies liquid or solid bonding agents. Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle. Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. Sands, burrs, smoothes over areas and applies sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Monitors and verifies quality of finished product. Completes repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product.

Work with quality department personnel in order to keep production assemblies in proper sign off levels and within inspection procedure and/or specifications.

Instruct, train and oversee quality workmanship of lower level technicians. Utilize measuring equipment in order to meet specifications for the installation process. Troubleshoot ideas for improvement and intervene when necessary on issues or concerns with process, schedule and quality needs. Shop floor math skills, experience with following engineering orders and the ability to read drawings or blueprints required. 1-2 years of experience using various hand and power tools required. Must be dependable and punctual.
High school graduate or equivalent required. 2-4 years of experience with complex aircraft assembly required. Trade School certification, such as Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) certification is desired. Shop floor math skills, experience with following engineering orders, and the ability to read drawings or blueprints required. Minimum 2 years of experience using various hand and power tools required. Must be dependable and punctual.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum 4 years of experience with complex aircraft assembly required. Trade School certification, such as Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) certification is required. Shop floor math skills, experience with following engineering orders, and the ability to read drawings or blueprints required. Minimum 4 years of experience using various hand and power tools required. Must be dependable and punctual.
High school graduate or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience with complex aircraft assembly required. Trade School certification, such as Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) certification is required. Shop floor math skills, experience with following engineering orders, and the ability to read drawings or blueprints required. Extensive experience using various hand and power tools required. Experience in a leadership role with equivalent level of responsibilities required. Must be dependable and punctual.

Minimum education and years of experience requirements not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
